Terisa Green does an amazing job with this very informative and succinct book. It covers EVERYTHING regarding the process of getting a tattoo, and there are just enough pictures & Illustrations. It should be the FIRST book anybody gets if they are interested in getting a tattoo, (or a tattoo removed). WELL WRITTEN & WELL RESEARCHED! Love her sense of humor!!!

This wasn't what I thought I was getting. I sent it back. I wanted a book with ideas and pictures.

My mom got this for both me and my boyfriend (who is a tattoo artist and we will be opening our own studio this winter) we both read it cover to cover and we both recommend this to everyone, to anyone's first tattoo to long time tattoo artists! She covers health with a tattoo beautifully! A must read and have!

It's a fine book if you really are nervous about your first, but if you already have one much of the text will be unnecessary.
It does tell you about looking for a shop and how to compare artists on more than just price. Plus, it gently reminds you to really consider a tattoos permanence.

I wish I'd had this book before I got my first tattoo. It covers pretty much everything anyone would want to know, and is well written and fully illustrated.
